Independence Day

Independence day was celebrated with great pomp and pleasure. The school assembled at the quadrangle at sharp 9.00am. The singing of the school prayer marked the beginning of the day. The Principal, Brni. Sai Chitra unfurled the National flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and National Songs. Principal gave an awe-inspiring speech, she urged the students to enjoy the independence with the sense of the love and sharing. She asked the children to take a vow that they will take care of the environment which is facing a threat due to the lack of human concern towards it and reminded them that they have a significant part to play when they become the adults of the society.
After the speech, the students did a marvelous show of exercises tying tri colour ribbon  on their fingers along with drum beat which filled the minds and hearts of everyone with pride and gratefulness for all those who made this day possible.The day was followed by CD show of great personalities and competition in quiz, mime and group song. The day had another specialty. It was the second last day of Ramayana Month .so quiz on Ramayana and the competition on Ramayana chanting were also held.
